On waiting for the light to become itself.

There's a specific kind of waiting that has nothing to do with luck. You find the frame first — the wall, the window, the shape of the room — and then you wait for the light to become itself, rather than trying to catch it on the way past.

Most of the images in this practice were made in the last ten minutes of a much longer wait.
